OXFORD — Granville Health System celebrated National Hospital Week from May 10-16, it said Friday.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the theme of the local event was “Celebrating Our Health care Heroes.”
“It’s always an honor to recognize the dedication and hard work of health system employees during Hospital Week,” said CEO John F. Snow. “Now more than ever before, it’s important to me to highlight our health care heroes and the immeasurable contributions and invaluable leadership they are providing to support the needs of the community during the pandemic.”
Granville Health System celebrated Hospital Week at the main campus in Oxford, as well as its physician practices and the South Granville Medical Center campus. Part of the celebration included an opportunity for members of the community to tell their story about a health care hero.
Patients can visit http:///ghsHospital.org/yourhealthcarehero to share their story.
“I truly appreciate the remarkable narratives I receive sharing the lifesaving and life-changing care from our health care heroes at Granville Health System,” said Snow. “These experiences confirm what I’ve known all along — our staff are simply remarkable and, I believe, are the very best.”
National Hospital Week, celebrated the first full week in May since 1921, highlights the importance of hospitals, health systems and the people who work in these settings.
