STEM — The town of Stem has announced its Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting even will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in downtown.
“This is a huge day for our town,” Mayor Pro Tem Susan Cope said in a news release.
In addition to the parade, Carlee Farms is holding its 2nd Annual Holiday Marketplace from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Belltown Road, which will benefit Stem Fire and E.M.S. Additionally, the Stem Ruritan Club is holding its annual stew fundraiser.
The parade will proceed down Tally Ho Road to Hopkins Street. Lineup starts at 2:30 p.m. on Gooch Street in Stem. Immediately after the parade, Santa Claus will be available for pictures in the meeting room of the main Stem Fire and E.M.S. Station on Franklin Street. The tree lighting ceremony will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Carlee Farms Holiday Marketplace will feature over 35 local vendors, hayrides, a petting zoo, food vendors and visits from both Santa and the Grinch. Carlee Farm is off Belltown Road at 1003 Carlee Farm Road.
The Stem Ruritan Club will hold its annual stew sale from 2-5 p.m. at the Ruritan Club Building off of Old NC 75 in Stem. It is $8 per quart.
