Vikings fall to Tigers

RANDLEMAN-South Granville fell to the Randleman Tigers by a 28-7 margin on Friday night in the third round of the NCHSAA 2AA playoffs

After a scoreless first quarter, the Tigers scored on a 44 yard touchdown and converted the extra point for a 7-0 lead.

South Granville answered with an 85 yard kickoff return by Bryson McCall. Jackson Erwin converted the extra point and the score was knotted at seven all.

Coby Price hit Bobby Rich for a second touchdown late in the second quarter.

Randleman led 14-7 at the half.

The Tigers tacked on two more touchdowns in the second half to win the contest.

The Vikings move to 10-4 on the season.

Randleman will host Salisbury, a 12-7 winner over Hertford County, next week. The Tigers remain perfect at 13-0.
