FRANKLINTON — Strong winds overnight Wednesday took down a tree in the Wilton community.

More trees may topple as soggy conditions and anticipated wind gust up to 20 mph are expected to be seen Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected to continue into Friday, with the sunshine expected to return for Memorial Day weekend.
